Reporting to AVP, Finance Data Strategy & Data Management, this role will shape the data strategy for Enterprise Finance (Excluding Treasury) .

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who wants to work in a fast paced and high impact driving considerable change and Competitive Advantage for TD with data.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

CUSTOMER
  • Accountable for development and delivery of strategic roadmap for Finance Data Management to drive real finance outcomes with reconciled & trusted data.
  • Stand-up an operating model that brings a unified view of implementing data management across all finance (excluding Treasury) outputs.
  • Provides program management oversight on implementation of capabilities for end-to-end data quality management including master data management.
  • Manages inventory of all the enterprise data standards & ensures constant cadence of attestation to the evolving enterprise data standards across finance
  • Inspires implementation of automated controls to speed-up access for data & accelerate speed to market for use-cases
  • Champions data management process improvements across finance with a proactive approach
  • Lead the finance data management forum for reviewing data management risk dashboard and working with Finance 1B to execute remediation actions

SHAREHOLDER
  • Develop and manage plan and budget for initiatives related to data management capabilities including capacity required within finance output owner organization
  • Ensure compliance with well-defined enterprise technology delivery practices and standards and project management disciplines
  • Assess / identify key issues and escalate to appropriate levels and relevant stakeholders and business management where required
  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional / enterprise initiatives as a finance subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for complex situations
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

BREADTH & DEPTH
  • Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
  • Oversee and lead a large and/or highly complex and diverse reporting function for an area of significant risk, complexity or scope while growing talent, developing skills and capabilities to achieve career goals, support project / initiative success and achieve business results
  • Provides coaching, mentorship and guidance to practitioners, business, executives within area of expertise
  • Strategic partner to leadership team on the management of the portfolio and financials, with deep industry, external / internal, enterprise knowledge, recognizing and anticipating emerging trends
  • Set operational team direction and collaborate with others to execute on common goals
  • Focus on longer-range planning for functional area (e.g. 12 months or greater)
  • Generally reports to an executive

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
  • 10+ years of relevant experience across the areas of Data Management, Data Analysis, Data Requirements & Finance Processes
  • Experience of taking initiatives with an entrepreneurial drive in a highly matrix organization
  • Experience in driving change in data management space (regulatory compliance/ capability implementation)
