As a Team Lead, your main responsibility will be to manage a small to medium-size Billing team(s), which could be Geographically spread. You will also be responsible for managing an assigned portfolio, to understand billing practices, processes, and systems. Our Billing Teams are primarily responsible for issuing client invoices for a portfolio of projects for a Business Line and/or Geographic sub-region. Your daily activities will include organizing and planning the workload of team members to ensure timely and accurate execution of the billing process; supporting billing agents in their daily tasks, including identifying training needs; resolving billings related issues, measuring team performance and putting in place initiatives to increase process efficiency; building a relationship with internal clients by having frequent and regular communication with internal customers (including Operations, Finance and Shared Services)

As a Team Lead, you will also be key player in continuous process improvement initiatives, ensuring service levels and quality meet expectations and identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to developing and maintaining up-to-date training materials and reporting tools.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Establish work priorities, lead, supervise and manage all aspects of the Billings function;
  • Ensure the timely, efficient and accurate processing of all Billings transactions;
  • Managing a reduced billing portfolio
  • Assist with the training, recruiting, and deployment of billings Team members (within a shared services group);
  • Resolve any issues and internal / external enquiries that cannot be resolved by the team members;


  • Provide people leadership through coaching, on the job training and performance development of the Billings team;
  • Develop a Team-Based culture;
  • Facilitate continuous improvement of processes through the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Measure KPI's to assess team performance and report achievements or deficiencies to your line Manager;

Your Profile:

  • Previous experience in coordinating / leading projects or teams;
  • Knowledge of Billing, Order-to-Cash or Procure-to-Pay processes;
  • Knowledge of accounting, finance or revenue cycle is considered a plus;
  • Bilingual (English/French) is a plus;
  • Experience working in a shared-services / outsourcing environment
  • Analytical, problem solving and facilitation skills within a culturally diverse multi-location work environment is a plus
  • Strong team player with demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Able to set priorities and efficiently organize team workload
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with Oracle ERP / Hyperion is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Visio), SharePoint and Power BI
