Job Description
Our private family client is seeking an Executive Wellness Director — a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) — to act as the “CEO” of the shareholder’s health.
This is a rare and highly personalized opportunity for a multifaceted, adaptable professional to take a central role in overseeing a dynamic and global approach to wellness. Responsibilities include attending medical appointments (with some travel), interpreting and coordinating treatment plans, and ensuring consistency and alignment across a diverse team of care providers in Canada, the U.S., and India.
While deep expertise in every medical discipline isn’t expected, the ideal candidate is capable, curious, and committed to learning — with an interest in integrating both Western and Eastern approaches to care.
If you’re seeking a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on someone’s long-term health and quality of life, we’d love to hear from you.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The key job functions are:
Healthcare Coordination
- Schedule and manage all medical appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits.
- Organize and maintain comprehensive health records, including both current and historical documentation.
- Oversee the timely administration of medications, supplements, and vitamins.
- Ensure medical files are consistently updated and readily accessible.
Patient Advocacy
- Accompany family members to medical appointments and offer in-person support during consultations.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the family and healthcare providers to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to care.
- Advocate for the family’s health preferences, values, and needs during all interactions with medical professionals.
Health Monitoring
- Track and document all aspects of family members’ health and wellness, including sleep patterns, nutrition, physical activity, medications, and both Western and Eastern medical treatments.
- Identify emerging health concerns and take appropriate, timely action.
- Provide health education and support to the family and their household team as needed.
Liaison & Communication
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, specialists, pharmacists, and wellness professionals across North America and India.
- Communicate regularly with the family’s personal assistants to align schedules and priorities.
- Ensure seamless information sharing among all members of the care team, including doctors, personal chefs, trainers, and other professionals.
- Maintain clear documentation and ensure all involved parties are informed of relevant health updates and treatment plans.
Transportation & Travel
- Provide transportation to and from local medical appointments.
- Travel as required to attend medical appointments across Canada, the United States, and India.
Education:
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing.
Qualifications:
- Valid RCMP background check required.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Valid passport required for international travel.
- Must be able to work in a vaccine-mandated environment.
Experience:
- 10+ years experience as an RN, ideally with exposure to private or family healthcare.
- Strong knowledge of chronic disease management, and total health management.
- Strong knowledge of conventional and integrative Western and Eastern medical practices.
Skills:
- Skilled in managing complex schedules, health records, and multi-provider care coordination.
- Knowledgeable in both Western and Eastern medical practices.
- Compassionate and focused on supporting and representing the family’s needs.
- Maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive health information.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with both medical teams and family members.
- Proactive in identifying concerns and ensuring thorough follow-up.
- Calm, reliable, and responsive in urgent or high-pressure situations.
Base Salary
- Salary based on experience.
- Comprehensive benefits package included.
Work Hours:
- 40 hours per week.
- A flexible schedule is required. This is a full-time role, primarily Monday to Friday, with a strong possibility of weekend hours and travel as needed.
Remote Work:
- This position is not remote and required to be on-site.
Additional Notes:
- This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
