The Global Client Data Analytics team proactively supports TD Securities' Global Markets businesses by developing data solutions to improve our transaction information capability, enhance profitability and our client experience. Our team consists of highly accomplished professionals with various backgrounds in sales and trading, computer science, data, business analytics and operations to deliver innovative solutions that support data-driven decisions.

This is an exciting opportunity in Wholesale Banking where you will play an instrumental role in leveraging TD's big data resources to build automation solutions and data analytics tools.

We are currently seeking an individual with strong data analysis background who is quick to adapt to new technologies and enthusiastic about developing innovative solutions to support the digital transformation in Global Markets.

Role Details:

Reporting to the Director, Global Markets Client Data Analytics, the Vice President will work with various stakeholders in helping to identify business problems and prioritize them to unlock business value.

The incumbent will leverage his/her subject matter expertise on data management, application design, reporting and analytical tools to provide timely and accurate reporting by collaborating and providing solutions to multiple business partners.

Support data management processes - acquiring, transforming, and storing massive volume of structured and unstructured data.

The successful candidate will have the skills to foster and grow strong relationships, across all levels of Management and influence change.

Job Accountabilities:

The individual will work in a team to:
  • Facilitate the execution of key strategic initiatives by providing insightful analysis and project management support to the Sales, Trading and Cross-Asset teams.
  • Develop and maintain client reporting & analytics including trends, market share, profitability KPI's and third-party competitive metrics.
  • Maintain Client Data Analytics platforms to ensure data integrity, by performing data quality and error checks, certifying its operation in a controlled environment, monitoring data exceptions and act as the central point of intake for enhancements and issue management.
  • Act as a liaison between the front-office and Technology teams to ensure fidelity of key data sources.
  • Manage Global Market's CRM and support Sales & Trading inquiries and future enhancements.
  • Dive into large amounts of data to extract information, gain insight, and create predictive variables to present within various reports and presentations.
  • Work closely with leadership teams to create data strategies that support data modeling
  • Develop and maintain regular and ad-hoc reports to monitor and analyze performance to support Global Markets' business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Global Markets and other team members to ensure reporting is consistent and accurate and that queries run efficiently.
  • Onboarding businesses to strategic Client Data analytics platforms
  • Identify opportunities to enhance sales, marketing, and risk strategies through the collection and consolidation of data-driven analytics.
  • Effectively communicate findings and insights to internal team members in a professional, concise, and easy-to-understand way.
  • Assist with creation and maintenance of business level documentation
  • Contribute to a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
  • Establish a strong culture of commitment and ownership within the team.
  • Demonstrate TD Framework and shared commitments in daily activities.

Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, KDB, SIGMA, Tableau, Plotly Dash and Pandas
  • Excellent analytical skills & critical thinking skills to investigate system and business issues, determine root cause, and deliver sustainable solutions.
  • Knowledge of data governance/data management practices, enterprise data policy, standards & strategy
  • Commitment to continuous improvement; specifically, ability to identify existing processes and gaps across the current system landscape.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
  • Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
