The Opportunity:
This role will be a vehicle and fleet expert that will help bridge the gap between fleet reliability, digital systems and operations. The Ideal candidate will help enable change for transit agencies and operators transitioning to zero emissions by developing technical fleet pilot programs, integrating telematics, CAD/AVL, depot management solutions while optimizing vehicle reliability of current diesel and next generation zero emissions battery electric or hydrogen fleets.

Compensation
Salary range (in British Columbia): $91 200 - $125 400
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. What you can expect to do here:
- Lead vehicle reliability projects or scopes of work for clients to optimize client fleet utilization, minimize maintenance downtime and issues, diagnose root cause of critical failures and provide operational expertise to fleet and transit operators to enable them to operate more efficient and effective fleets.
- Orchestrate the energy and digital transition of bus and vehicle fleets, integrating physical infrastructure and intelligent systems to shape the future of urban mobility.
- Contribute to the specification and integration of digital solutions for zero-emission buses and fleets including smart energy and charging management, digital twins, SCADA, and cybersecurity.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering, digital systems), fostering synergies for innovative and integrated solutions.
- Implement digital solutions for transit agencies to consolidate multiple platforms including HASTUS, CAD/AVL, Telematics, Constat aided dispatch, BAS (bus availability survey), Trapeze, Hexagon, Infor.
- Lead technical and digital workshops, collaborate with a diverse range of partners (utilities, transit operators, manufacturers, software vendors, consultants, contractors, and authorities), and become the main point of contact for the client.
- Deploy innovative collaborative models (EaaS, design-build, progressive digital integration) to optimize execution and reduce risks.
- Actively contribute to digital innovation and operational resilience by leveraging data, fostering predictive maintenance, and maximizing energy efficiency.

- Perform technology gap analysis, market scans, develop implementation of roadmaps, decision matrix, resource capability assessments and risk assessments for fleet and infrastructure software implementation and upgrades.
What you'll bring to WSP:
- Degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, data engineering, vehicle design, vehicle maintenance background.
- P. Eng. License holderan asset
- More than 8 years of experience in vehicle data systems including deployment of software systems across multiple systems.
- Strong leadership experience in design delivery, project control, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience applying value engineering, resilience planning, and lifecycle design with digital fleet projects.
- Proven experience in managing and integrating digital systems related to public transit operations (fleet planning, SCADA, IoT, cybersecurity).
- Proficiency in BIM, Microsoft Project, cost control tools, and MS Office 365.
- The selected candidate will be required to travel throughout Canada as part of the role to support team development initiatives.
