Job Description:

We will be hosting a recruitment invite-only event exclusively for University of Toronto students, promoting our Full-Time opportunities for students who have recently graduated or are graduating in the next four (4) months. Participants will have an opportunity to hear from and network with TD business representatives and leaders. In addition, you will have an opportunity to interview for our most sought-after roles: Software Engineering & Business System Analyst.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER Full-Time - JOB DESCRIPTION

Job responsibilities for a Software Engineer Full-Time may vary by area. This may include, but is not limited to the following:
  • Develop new solutions as required for engineering programs and projects within assigned area and may also develop prototypes and proof of concepts aligned to business needs
  • Participate in the conceptual and logical engineering designs around the advancement of the overall assigned portfolio
  • Analyze the technical requirements to recommend pragmatic and sound engineering specific solutions for own area
  • Work with other stakeholders, internal technology partners to ensure engineering solutions meet technical direction, requirements, performance, time-to-market and innovation goals
  • Contribute enterprise and/or line of business engineering strategies and mandates
  • Respond to routine or standard requests from internal and/or external customers

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Understand relationships between work processes and the business and ensure awareness of costs related to own work
  • Monitor product lifecycles, ensuring specifications and functionality support business objectives and engineering decisions, undertaking re-development where required
  • Document and verify system components, applications, system infrastructure, security, integration, operability and engineering related
  • Basic working knowledge of specific domain or engineering frameworks, technology, tools, processes and procedures
  • University or postgraduate degree • Strong academic background (e.g., computer science, engineering)
  • 1-2 years relevant experience

BUSINESS SYSTEM ANALYST-Full-Time - JOB DESCRIPTION

Job responsibilities for a Business Systems Analyst Full-Time may vary by area. This may include, but is not limited to the following:
  • Develop effective and efficient solutions by researching/analyzing current state system processes and defining technology solutions options / recommendations working closely with key technology partners
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to determine solutions, assess impact to existing work processes and systems, and how to manage the integration
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications taking into account non-functional requirements Capture and document the traceability of system requirements through design and development, testing, and deployment; ensure the acceptance criteria demonstrates the changes to systems that will meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Support testing teams in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, user acceptance, and operational acceptance testing
  • Provides support/oversight and guidance in the delivery of technology requirements with focus on quality, reusability, scalability, and innovation.
  • Promote innovation by applying subject matter expertise to generate forward thinking ideas as well as critical thinking to find opportunities for improvement
  • May provide operational / process-related analysis and support to various extents

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Basic knowledge of system analysis process and techniques
  • Basic knowledge of systems and applications supported by the team including system components, functionality, interfaces, data flows, and business rules.
  • Basic knowledge of enterprise technology delivery practices and standards, design, development, testing and delivery frameworks
  • Basic understanding of business supported
  • Contributes and supports system requirements management for low complexity/risk initiatives in alignment with strategies
  • Contributes to the identification of risks and impediments and problem resolution
  • Work performed under guidance and supervision
  • Reports to a Manager or Practice Lead
  • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
  • 1-2 years relevant experience
