What- The Role:
Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their collaborative finance team. The Sr. FA will participate in all aspects of the FP&A function for this fascinating organization, including detailed reviews of business performance, preparing presentations, business decision support, ad hoc and scheduled data analysis, sophisticated financial modelling, and analysing results compared to forecasts and plans. The Sr. FA will be contributing a great deal to the long-term strategic planning for the organization and will be looked upon by leadership to “tell the story behind the numbers.” The Sr. FA will get to see the full P&L and will be able to look to the big picture of the business while analysing the details.
Who- the Candidate:
We are seeking candidates with at least 4 years’, and ideally 6+ years’, progressive work experience after graduation from a reputable University. In addition to a degree in Commerce or Business Administration, qualified candidates will likely have or be actively pursuing CFA or MBA. Must have some experience in Business Analysis, Business Consultancy, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, and/or Private Equity, preferably with exposure to the tech sector. Robust Excel modelling skills and PowerPoint presentation experience are crucial, and experience with SQL and using ERPs and BI tools is highly preferred. Candidates must be able to strategically advise the business based on the results of their analyses- we’re looking for someone who not only models the data and crunches the numbers, but who also tells the story behind the numbers.
This company will interview, hire, onboard, and train remotely during Covid-19 physical distancing and the new employee will work from home. Once it’s safe to do so, this role will be based full-time in the company’s downtown Vancouver head office.
