However, risks are attendant with every new opportunity. Our clients seek independent advice and assurance over diverse issues which include: the design and operation of their internal controls, the security of their business critical systems, the delivery of major IT enabled programmes, their relationships with third parties, and their management, stewardship and ability to exploit business critical data. To successfully turn risk into results, you'll help our clients to become more effective at managing scarce resources, make better decisions and reduce their exposure to negative events. You'll work in high-performing teams that drive growth and deliver exceptional client service, ensuring you play your part in building a better working world.
The successful candidate will work alongside our Consulting staff and client personnel to analyze, evaluate, and enhance information systems facilitating the business internal control process, and will assist clients and other IT professionals in performing technology risk, information technology (IT) control, application control and security engagements. EY Technology Risk is a CPA Approved Training Office. Your Key Responsibilities
• Establishing relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels. Consistently delivering quality client services. Monitoring progress, managing risks and ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business • Demonstrating ability to continuously learn, incorporate and apply new knowledge in the work environment. Possessing good business acumen. Remaining current on new developments in Consulting services, capabilities and industry knowledge • Demonstrate and apply a thorough understanding of technology trends to identify the engagement and client service issues and communicate this information to the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and verbal presentations. • Working with our Consultants to analyze business, financial and IT systems, and other data processing problems to identify risks and improvements in computer systems and IT-enabled business processes. • Assisting clients in strengthening internal controls and improve IT and business performance. Collaborate with other members of the engagement team to plan the engagement and develop work program timelines, risk assessments, and other planning documents. • Taking full responsibility for tasks, including consistent review of own work to identify and improve an approach for producing high quality work products, while working under supervision. Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in a co-op program pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, engineering, computer science, information systems, or another related major • All applicants must graduate no earlier than May 2022 • Relevant industry experience is considered an asset • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Proficient in MS Office, including MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint • Tech savviness - willingness to learn how to use relevant tools/software as needed • Demonstrated project management, teaming, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skill • Demonstrated integrity, values, principles, and work ethic • Willing and able to learn and work independently with minimal supervision • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
